Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information by.robocloth collects, why we collect it and how we use it to produce made-to-order garments, process orders and support customers.

Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to run the webshop and produce your order, including contact details, shipping details, order selections, uploaded artwork, messages sent through our forms and technical information such as browser, device and usage data.
If you create an account, we also store your email address (or the basic profile Google shares if you sign in with Google), the designs you save, and links you choose to share.
Design Assistant
When you use "Describe your idea" in the configurator, what you type is sent, together with a description of your current design (the shirt, its colour, and the text, file names, positions and sizes of your prints), to Anthropic, whose Claude AI model suggests the changes. Please don't type personal or sensitive information into the assistant.
We keep a record of each request so we can see what people ask for and improve the assistant: what you typed, the reply, whether the change worked, which kinds of changes were made, the shirt and colour, how long it took and the date and time. If you are signed in, the record is linked to your account. Requests made during a single visit are linked to each other by an identifier that exists only while the page is open; nothing is stored on your device for this.
To keep the assistant fair and affordable, each person has a daily usage allowance. To count it, we record how much each signed-in account, or otherwise each connection, has used that day. For visitors who are not signed in we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) form of the internet address the request came from, never the address itself.
How We Use Information
- To create, manufacture, ship and support your orders.
- To store uploaded artwork so it can be connected to your Shopify order.
- To save your designs to your account and create the share links you ask for.
- To run the design assistant, keep its usage within daily limits and learn what customers want so we can improve it.
- To respond to designer submissions, brand enquiries and support messages.
- To protect the webshop, prevent abuse and improve the customer experience.
Service Providers
We use carefully selected providers to operate the store, including Shopify for checkout and commerce, Supabase for accounts, saved designs, design file storage and design assistant records, Netlify for hosting and daily usage counts, Anthropic for the design assistant's AI model, and transactional email services for form submissions. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services.
Cookies & Advertising
We use Google Ads to understand how visitors find us and how our advertising performs. By default no advertising cookies are set: Google's tag runs in consent mode with all storage denied until you choose "Accept" in our cookie banner. If you accept, Google may set cookies to measure ad conversions and personalise advertising. If you decline, only cookieless, aggregated signals are sent to Google.
You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Essential store functionality — your cart, checkout and design uploads — does not depend on advertising cookies.
The site also needs a little storage in your browser to work: a small first-party cookie remembers your cart, and your browser's local storage keeps you signed in, keeps designs you have saved without an account, and holds template preview pictures so they load quickly next time. None of this is used for advertising.
Retention
We keep order and production information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, meet accounting obligations, support customers and protect our business. Uploaded artwork connected to an order may be retained with that order record for production and support.
Saved designs stay in your account until you delete them or your account. Design assistant records are kept for as long as they help us improve the assistant; you can ask us to delete the ones linked to your account at any time.
Your Rights
If you are in the EU or EEA, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data. To make a request, contact us at hello@robocloth.com.
